Stumpp und Schüle has a consistent quality concept starting with process development, through inspections during production, to goods issue. Modern methods of advance quality planning such as FMEA etc. are used extensively to support the planning process.
Test planning is integrated in the process development. The in-process tests are derived from the control plan. With our machine and test equipment construction, we implement the test requirements individually. Important product features are tested during production. The quality data are archived in CAQ system and are available for traceability. If required, 100% testing is also possible.
Material testing Before the material is released for part production, we generally carry out a material test. With special equipment, we can carry out vibration tests for material testing. We are also able to carry out physical strength tests on the starting material.

Cyclically loaded parts such as springs generally have a limited service life. We use the Wöhler test to determine the fatigue strength of materials or springs. For this purpose, the springs are cyclically loaded under a sinusoidal stress-time function. The load amplitudes and the stress ratio from underload to overload are constant. To determine the values, the springs are tested at several load horizons. The test runs until a defined failure (spring fracture) occurs or a specified limiting oscillation cycle number is reached.
